It's arrived!!

After approximately 18 months of saving my pennies I ordered the thermomix.  It was delivered on Saturday and my consultant Debbie spent 1 hour with me teaching me the basics.  We made the vegetable stock concentrate for the Everyday Cookbook (EDC).

Should I give it a name?

Then the fun commenced.  My son (Mr 16) was desperate to make something and he chose the chocolate mousse. Yum.  I need to get organised with photos though.  Then I made the following over the course of the afternoon: chilli paste, chocolate cake, chocolate brownies, pumpkin soup, lemonade, iced-coffee and hot chocolate.  I think there is a bit of a chocolate theme going on.  I must say I am so impressed.

Sunday came and the thermomix got a good workout again.  I started the day making a fruit juice smoothy.  It turned out exactly like a boost. Saved myself $20.  Then I chopped up all my carrots and froze them in portions.  Made a big batch of SisterMixin's  pasta sauce for the freezer.  It is a great recipe to use up all your vegetables.  Then, just for fun I made another batch of brownies; then more pumpkin soup for the freezer.

Monday morning included another smoothie, butter and buttermilk bread. It looks like the thermomix is going to be getting a good workout in my kitchen.
